Great Discoveries, a manifestation of the hegemony of Western European art, had particular result of the relatively rapid formation of vast colonial empires stand or exploitation. However, no thank you the control of colonial powers during the First and especially World War II led to a collapse of their prestige and power. Bled white, they were longer able to provide their territories overseas shareholders and executives whose abundance make a powerful state metropolis. Meanwhile, the ideas proclaimed by the founders of the United States and the protagonists of the French Revolution had also made their way. (Memo)
